Key Aspects of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
  1. Pain Management: Techniques are used to reduce pain and discomfort, which can range from acute injuries to chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Techniques such as acupunture, manual therapy and soft tissue mobilisations can be helpful.

  2. Improving Mobility and Flexibility: Exercises and manual therapies help increase joint range of motion and flexibility, which can be restricted by injury or chronic conditions.

  3. Strengthening Muscles and Supporting Structures: Strength and conditioning exercises help stabilise and support joints, reducing the likelihood of re-injury and aid return to normal function.

  4. Preventing Recurrence: Programs are designed to prevent the re-occurrence of injuries or manage chronic conditions to prevent further complications.

  5. Manual Therapy Techniques: These include hands-on techniques like massage, joint and soft tissue mobilisations and manipulation to improve mobility and reduce stiffness and pain.

  6. Exercise Prescription: Tailored exercises programs are suggested to improve function, strength, and help long term self management of conditions, aiming to avoid recurrent problems.
